This lovely compact French built IXU has been fully restored. The case is in a heavy duty faux leather covering - the same as we apply to our larger units. The interior has also been fully restored with a lovely cotton lining, This device is around 60 years old.

Tthe control unit is made of the ancient bakelite material - timeless - just like the old fashion radio sets from the same period.

The red button on the unit controls the power - (low to high) and for the technically minded adjusts the gap/tension of the contact breakers. The other two buttons (red and white) are for selecting the correct voltage in the county you are in - UK and Europe is the red one (240V) and North America is the white one (120V).

All the most common electrodes are here - Mushroom, Comb, Neck, Fulgurator, etc plus a Saturation Tube (the one with the spiral wire) which can also be used in "Secondary Contact".

Naturally - as with all our devices (where necessary) - we have carried out a full electrical restoration - with a new capacitor - new cables, re insulated all the interior wiring and devised sound cable retention (push in - pull out) so the unit is as safe as possible). It is however not a toy and is a product of its time.
